Antibiotics – will they work when need them?
The Martial Art of Wellness
Volume 10 – August 2011
DEAR FRIENDS
Welcome to this month’s BioNews. We must learn to free ourselves from the control that others exert over us. As we learn we become FREE, we become powerful. This pursuit of self defense in wellness, I call “The Martial Art of Wellness.” And as we practice we become Wellness Ninjas.
QUOTE OF THE MONTH
” When it comes to health, when the body feels safe and is at ease, the nervous system is able to quiet and be more normal. Then the immune system is able to function better. When the body is safe and feels safe, all of its other functions can help combat disease. “
– Patricia Megregian
THIS ISSUE’S TESTIMONIAL:
…but we have indeed!
“ I just wanted to say thank you for the results we are having with my son (9 years old) after only one month at one F2 & one F3 capsule daily. Bowels are regular and stools are formed. He no longer grazes all day and craves specific foods. We have reduced his oxylate issues and digestion in general. We are now also off of three prescription medications. One of which was a sleep aid that I thought we would never be able to stop using, but we have indeed! I am going to start Biosuperfood as well. We look forward to increased health as we continue.
Thanks so much. ”

MARTIAL ART OF WELLNESS ( Antibiotics – will they work when needed? )
We as humans are now at a critical crossroads with microbes. Over the last number of decades time and again we have chosen a hasty solution and used antibiotics to eradicate what we perceive are harmful bugs and bacteria in the body. We are bombarded daily by the media touting the latest and greatest ways to attack superbugs that just may “get you” if you aren’t careful. This bombardment promotes a false sense of health and security. As a Wellness Warrior, in knowledge you find power – understanding antibiotics and their alternatives is crucial for your better survival.
The Overuse of Antibiotics

Each year we continue to take antibiotics that attempt to kill bacteria in our internal environment and remove them as quickly as possible. Taking antibiotics for everything that ails us promotes a type of internal warfare within the body – one that we lose our precious health to over time. We must stop giving our power away, become our own wellness warriors and not depend on antibiotics to be something they were never meant to be. Even Louis Pasteur, once believing his own germ theory of disease, admitted on his deathbed that “the microbe is nothing, the terrain is everything.” If we desire good health, we must create a new mindset to empower ourselves and give the terrain what it needs to get back into balance.
Let’s look at the word “antibiotic” and break down what it means. “Anti”, a prefix which means “against” or “opposite”, and biotic, which means “relating to naturally occurring organisms”. The name in and of itself implies we are using something that is not in balance with our innate healing ability. When we choose to use antibiotics for every sneeze, sore throat or cough, we essentially are using chemical warfare to try and balance the body. By being afraid of germs, making them the cause of disease instead of seeing them as a symptom of a deeper underlying condition, we jeopardize good health. By perceiving disease as something we need to wage war on and be fearful of, we strain our immune system. Antibiotics aren’t the answer. They don’t replace our immunity, and they can certainly destroy it.
We’ve become a nation fearful of germs and bugs. We avoid shaking hands and handling doorknobs without first slathering on alcohol-cased sanitizers. We get on airplanes and go into hospitals placing masks over our faces to avoid catching a cold, flu, or the latest media-hyped infection. We override our own intuition and turn our power over to television physicians who alarm the public by preaching gloom and doom while promoting medication as a solution. If we listen to these messages we risk losing precious energy and further suppressing our immunity.
At every stage in life most of us have taken antibiotics to quickly get rid of whatever was ailing us. Have we abused or overused antibiotics? Many of us would probably answer no, not fully realizing how many times we’ve actually taken them. Over the course of a lifetime, as infants and toddlers we are given antibiotics for ear infections and as teenagers we take them to treat acne. Women take them for urinary tract and vaginal infections, and adults of both sexes take them for just about every upper and lower respiratory tract infection that comes around every season. By the time many of us reach midlife, we’re dealing with chronic systemic and yeast infections which have now claimed territory in our bodies, the direct result of overusing antibiotics. And consider this: most earaches, colds, flu, urinary tract and chronic respiratory infections are due to either a viral or fungal infection, neither of which can be treated effectively with antibiotics. The fact is, if we ate pure whole foods, eliminated sugar and dairy (these are two of the biggest culprits that weaken our immunity and promote disease in the body), we could prevent getting some of these conditions in the first place and wouldn’t need to use antibiotics to treat them.
But antibiotics kill bad bacteria don’t they? Absolutely, but they cannot reach 100% of the intended target. When the course of antibiotics is completed, some of the bad bacteria continue to thrive, except now they’re stronger and resistant to that same antibiotic the next time we use it. This resistance doesn’t take years to occur either. It can take a matter of weeks in some cases, especially when one stops taking a full course of the antibiotic because they feel better. When the bacteria become resistant, they survive and begin duplicating. When the same antibiotic is used in the future, the resistant bacteria make up a larger population in the body.

Many years ago we didn’t concern ourselves with a time when antibiotics couldn’t suppress the bacteria. We have gone against the innate healing process we all possess, and have chosen to feed our own internal ecosystems that which goes against it. But the time has come – microbes are gaining advancement on the antibiotics – it’s now a dangerous war with the bacteria winning.
It’s never too late to heal our bodies, but we need to start with a healthy mindset – awaken our genius within – and realize that microbes are not to be feared. To continue to fight or challenge their natural mutation process with the objective of swiftly eradicating a disease, we seriously risk our health and possibly one day our life.
BAC Strongly Supports Immunity
Immunity is defined as being in a state of having adequate biological defenses to abstain from disease, infection or other unhealthy invasions in the body. Within the body each cell carries its own immune protection mechanism. When all the cells mechanisms are functioning properly, the entire body is protected. BAC has you covered! BAC is a powerful antioxidant with high chlorophyll content. Chlorophyll not only provides immune-enhancing support, it overrides the control of bacteria, viruses and fungi, which serve only to sap cellular energy. BAC also contributes to cellular function and vitality, stimulating the immune system and other critical body functions, providing the cells with nutrients and energy needed to support the intricate process to keep things in balance. BAC also contains several phytonutrients, both beta and alpha carotenes, enzymatic pigments and astaxanthin. What this means is that BAC is a pure non-adulterated superfood in and of itself, containing the properties of numerous supplements all in one!
We know that eating pure organic whole foods is extremely important, however, for a number of reasons, they sometimes lack in providing us the necessary nutrients to keep the immune system stable and strong in its defense against invasion. BAC works in sync with a good healthy diet and lifestyle program, ensuring that your immune system remains functioning at its best.
