THE MARTIAL ART OF WELLNESS (Earth’s Most Efficient Food)

After 18 years consuming BAC daily, and speaking with thousands of others that are doing the same, I am convinced that BAC is the most efficient food on earth.   Easy for me to say, but I understand those that want proof beyond my word.  I have written a small book to help anyone interested to find out about this extra-ordinary food, a book call Awakening the Genius Within.  Read it and get back to me with any questions.

researchEvery day I receive questions about BAC.  The most frequently asked are “What is BAC?” and “What are the ingredients in BAC?”  In this article, I will make my best effort to explain BAC, though it is virtually impossible to do so in one article or even in one book as BAC touches many aspects of nutrients, nutrition, and energy.

BAC is more than algae, it is a blend of algae

blending

Dr. Kiriac seen here supervising blending algae to specific formulation

Anyone is welcome to make a blend of algae, but you will notice there are very few or none others on the market, and that is for good reason; it is a complex process that requires years of expensive comparative testing and it needs to be proven with unbiased results.  So here I invite you to consider the efforts involved in researching and developing the BAC formulas (you can read more in detail at www.awakeningthegeniuswithin.com). Unlike mother’s homemade soup, making a blend of microalgae is not just an art, it is a science.  If you don’t know what you are doing, it can result in disaster. BAC is the result of scientific research and it was proven to deliver many times more nutritional benefits than any single algae.

BAC contains at least 15,000 known compounds/nutrients

The most recent microscopic analysis of certain microalgae tells us that some contain as many as 15,000 identifiable compounds and many more unseen or unidentified yet.  And, due to the presence of four of these most nutrient-dense microalgae, we know that BAC contains many more than 15,000 known and unknown compounds/nutrients. As with vegetable or fruits, there are also unseen or unidentified microscopic compounds present. For example, a few decades ago we identified lycopene in tomatoes even though it had been present in tomatoes since the beginning.

Each BAC capsule has standard nutritional value

As with any macro vegetable, fruit, dairy or meat, when dealing with whole food you can never obtain the same (pharmaceutical grade) nutritional values, and that is the way of nature. No two tomatoes can grow with identical vitamin or mineral content due to variations in the soil quality, sunlight, temperature, etc.  While with microalgae grown in lakes, lagoons, or oceans, we have even less control as small environmental changes significantly affect their growth, nutrient value, and density.

capsule1

Each BAC capsule has standard nutritional value

The first thing you may notice from the growers of plain algae like spirulina is that their nutrient list cannot be the same value from one grower to the next, or from one batch or year to the next. While with BAC, due to most advanced and rigorous algae-technologies applied in growing the algae in BAC, a certifiable high standard nutritional value is maintained within each capsule, as required by the Health Canada Natural Product program under which BAC is certified.

Even unknown nutrients in BAC are surely essential for better health

Nutrition is about balance, synergy and efficiency, not just about quantity. As we have discovered over the last century some nutrients are considered essential for human health as is, for example, Vitamin C.   Yet we now know many that were not considered essential, and that should be.  As we are continually discovering, some are required even if in small amounts.  Aluminum which until recently was thought to be poisonous or useless to metabolic life, is now known to be an important compound involved in enzymic activity such as succinic dehydrogenase (functional not only in mitochondrial cell respiration and energy generation, but also plays a role in oxygen level sensing and tumor suppression) and d-aminolevulinate dehydrase, involved in porphyrin synthesis (The porphyrin macrocycle, in its various reduced, oxidized, and metallated forms, is involved in a large variety of vital functions essential to living organisms. These include oxygen transport and storage, respiration, photosynthesis, electron transport, drug detoxification, hydrogen peroxide biochemistry, to name but a few.)

BAC vs Recommended Daily Allowances (RDA)

I make no attempt to measure up or compare the ingredients in BAC to the Recommended Daily Allowances (RDA) as suggested by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). I believe this exercise is futile because it creates a false sense of security. It tends to make people believe that they can be healthy in taking a few partial, isolated, and synthetic chemicals instead of the many thousands of bio-chemical nutrients needed that can only be found in our whole foods.

rda

Trying to follow RDA is like trying to follow Dr. Oz

BAC is not a vitamin, a mineral, an antioxidant, an enzyme or even a supplement, it is 100% whole food, mind you an extra-ordinary whole food. To make my point clearer I will elaborate using one nutrient -calcium.

In the USA, the RDA for calcium is 1 gram.  Calcium RDA recommendation was based on the emerging osteoporosis crisis which has now reached epidemic proportions in this country. Resultantly, the calcium supplementation industry has become a multi-million dollar one ($177.9m at end 2012 – Nutraingredients-USA). There are hundreds of different kinds of calcium supplements with a variety of delivery options: liquid or chelated, calcium citrate, calcium chlorinate, calcium gluconate…paired with magnesium, with Vitamin D, etc.  Interestingly, to this day, even with millions of women now taking daily calcium supplements, there has not been even a dent made in the osteoporosis crisis.

Calcium is one mineral that occurs plentifully in our foods. It is very easy to get one gram or more daily in a normal diet. Yet the epidemic of osteoporosis is ongoing. One reason is that calcium, due to its atomic weight is the most difficult nutrient to break down by our enzymic action. Calcium from supplements is even harder to break down because of it’s inorganic structure (considered a metallic) which is significantly larger than a naturally occurring form from whole food. One wonders why so much osteoporosis. Our cell membrane cannot deal with inorganic calcium. This form of inorganic calcium is not only harder to breakdown, but also difficult to eliminate, leading to osteoarthritis and arterial plaquing.

BAC contains amounts of naturally occurring calcium of perfect bioavailability and non-toxicity. BAC also contain calcium spirulan, a form of calcium that has many extra-ordinary properties. For example, in some studies, calcium spirulan is shown to inhibit HIV at very low concentrations by preventing the virus from penetrating the human cell membrane and infecting the cell. In that sense, calcium spirulan is an antioxidant.

During a large dairy cow trial with a herd of 15,000 where, due to industry standards of forced daily lactation and the resulting loss of their calcium to the milk, cows suffer abnormally rapid bone loss (osteoporosis).   Typical in this industry, after only 4 to 5 years, cows are slaughtered as they can no longer carry their own weight due to this severe osteoporosis.  During the research, when these 2,000-pound dairy cows were fed ~one gram (the equivalent of just 3 capsules) of BAC per day, they ceased developing bone loss. It was proven that with daily supplementation of BAC these same cows will go on giving milk for approximately five more years without signs of osteoporosis.

calcium-supplements1

The question is often asked “is there enough calcium in BAC to supply the daily requirement?”. The answer, “NO there is not.”   Yet, when a cow consumes BAC which efficiently feeds the cells of Hypothalamus-Pituitary Axis (HPA), the cow’s various metabolisms are stimulated and perform at higher levels.  Calcium assimilation, calcium utilization and elimination are more efficient due to the increased performance of the HPA and the glands of the endocrine system, resulting in far better results than supplementation per any of the RDA suggestions.

BAC, the most complete food on earth

Of all nutritive substances that health science knows about, few are not found in BAC. At the top, BAC contains the most nutrient- and phytonutrient-dense algae found on earth – selected from thousands By Dr. Kiriac and his team of researchers and empirically tested for 20 years. For example, over 200 different strains of Spirulina obtained from all over the world were tested before the selection of the best was decided. The rationales for this selection will become clear as you read on. These algae are:

  • Spirulina Pacifica
  • Spirulina Platensis
  • Dunaliella
  • Astaxanthin/Haematococcus Pluvialis

Summary of Nutrients in BAC

Here is a summary list of the nutrients and phytonutrients you will find in BAC:

  • High-quality complete protein denser and more digestible than any animal-derived protein. (approx. 50% protein)
  • All known essential and non-essential amino acids
  • All known vitamins: A, all of B complex, C, D, E and K.
  • Vitamin B12 (human active) which is almost never found in plants. Great for vegans and vegetarians.
  • All known minerals-elements: calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium, sodium, iridium, iron, etc.
  • The “good fats that heal”, fatty acids Omega-3, 6, 9, Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA) and many more.
  • Thousands of enzymes critical for good health. Enzymes facilitate breakdown of foods and increase the reproduction of lactobacilli, the bacteria that digests our food.
  • Mucopolysaccharides: provides immune system modulation and normalization of blood sugar level
  • Carotenoids pigments alpha and beta carotene, lycopene, lutein, quercetin, phycocyanin, and many more.
  • Nucleic acids (RNA & DNA).
  • Chlorophyll with extraordinary calcium spirulan.
  • Astaxanthin with antioxidant power hundreds of time more protective than vitamin E and C.

Detailed and Estimated Partial List of Nutrients in BAC

You can find a list of the nutrients that compose BAC here.

This list will remain estimated and incomplete as there is no attempt to provide a list of over 15,000 different compounds.  This list is also based on available value of individual “plain” algae at time of writing. “Plain” in this text mean that they are standard or common. One can grow a “plain” small nutrient-poor yellow tomato in the desert of Colorado or one can grow a large red nutrient-rich tomato in a protected and rich soil. The same goes for algae.

The algae in BAC are not “plain”. For example, they are grown in a rich “soil” or “base” with more trace elements and other required conditions. The difference between an Hawaiian volcanic region, an Australian desert region or a Siberian volcanic peninsula is a world apart when it comes to the availability of trace elements.

There is no attempt to list the exact amounts as mentioned above for the task is impossible when it comes to over 15,000 nutrients, and the list would change with each batch, even with each capsule. As in nature, even with the best of blending technology, one can never achieve precision on the microscopic level. And that’s the way nature is… That’s the way our bodies are… not one of us have the same biochemical make-up and biochemical needs.

The values used are quantitative by weight, by units or in proportion to the overall weight. They are not in proportion or in relation to the RDAs. Some value listed as “n/a” are either not available, not applicable, not present, or not measured under a certain weight or volume. In some cases, I have listed the average of a range rather than the range.

BAC is that impressive

Looking at the nutrients that BAC provides, an informed nutritionist can only stare in awe: these are all and many more of the nutrients needed by every human or animal body, in near-perfect ratios! As proven in long years of research, it’s the perfect complementary food for any beings.

The only thing that’s not impressive about BAC is its lack of fame.  Thanks to the fact that pharmaceutical companies can’t profit from natural superfood, their true healing benefits remain virtually unknown by western medical professionals. This is a unfortunate situation since, based on animal research, the use of BAC could not only help prevent millions of cases of serious disease each year, it could help the body prevent and reverse conditions like tumor and cancer. It can even be used as an adjunct “complementary” therapy making the journey more comfortable for those who choose western medicine chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

How does BAC compare to other algae?

The truth is that it cannot compare with single algae or any other multi-vitamin, multi-mineral, supplement or green superfood product; BAC is in a league apart, it is vastly more nutritionally efficient than basic algae like Spirulina or Chlorella. And because of these extreme efficiencies achieved in the blend, BAC has powerful, nourishing and regenerating effects on the body and brain.  These results were proven without a doubt in 20 animal species tested. Let me describe why I think BAC is a breed apart :

  • Of thousands of algae on earth, few are “human” friendly (as in nutritionally efficient). In the making of BAC, over one thousand algae where investigated; four (4) were selected for their individual and complementary value
  • Algae, like vegetables, are only as nutrients-rich as the soil/water/base in which they are nurtured.  The best algae thrive near volcanic regions because of the abundance of minerals and trace elements therein.  The algae in BAC are nurtured in the Russian peninsula of Kamchatka, earth’s richest volcanic region.
  • We have all heard the expression “the sum is larger then the summation of its parts” as in 1 + 1 = 3. This law of synergy applies well with foods and nutrition; for example, two ounces of alfalfa with a few nuts easily surpass a large meal of potatoes with a 12 ounces steak, in terms of nutritional-energy. In the microscopic world this law applies a thousand fold. The synergistic values of the four algae of BAC when blended together result in “EXTRAORDINARY” nutritional efficiencies and nutraceutical power.
  • BAC complements the whole rather than supplementing specific symptoms or deficiencies. In the words of Michael Kiriac, “BAC awakens the genius within”.

The spectrum of nutrients in BAC is not matched in any multi-vitamin, supplement or green superfood on the market at this time. In the end, BAC as a natural food has “extra-ordinary” nutritional constituents. Otherwise, I do not know of any other algae product that has undergone such “true and pure” research, with hundreds of researchers working more than 20 years testing and field trialing with hundreds of animal test groups comprising more than one million animals. The product/concept was introduced in America by Professor Michael Kiriac, N.D., PhD and Academician of Merits. For 22 years, Mr. Kiriac was the lead researcher and director of the effort to develop nutritional solutions to various diseases in the USSR. A bioneer, he is the author of many scientific papers and patents in the science and technology of growing and enhancing micro algae concentrates. He is the recipient of awards for the invention of BAC and its use to help victims of Chernobyl. Mr. Kiriac continues to lecture and promote nutrition all over the world to alleviate human and animal diseases.
