Tis the season to be jolly, FA LA LA LA, or is it?

ninjaThe Martial Art of Wellness – Volume 18, December 2019

Dear friends – We learn to free ourselves from controls exerted over us. As we research we become FREE, we become powerful.  This pursuit of self-defense in wellness, I call “The Martial Art of Wellness.” And with practice we become Ninjas.

Article by Maureen Murphy, CNC, ND – For many, the holiday season means family and friends and joyous occasions with home-cooked meals, festive gatherings and gifts.  But not everyone gets the warm ‘n fuzzies at this time of year.

The delicate balance of neurochemicals that has evolved in us for millennia has been disrupted by modern life, making us ever more prone to depression, anxiety and malcontent. Between budget-stretching holiday shopping, preparations and parties, the stress of the season can be overwhelming for many who are left feeling over-extended, exhausted and stressed out – and a stress overload can damage our health. The hormones it released with chronic or extreme acute stress can change the way nerves fire and send circuits into a dangerous feedback loop, leaving us vulnerable to anxiety and/or depression.

Some, watching the hustle and bustle surrounding them serves to amplify feelings of loneliness and/or depression, whether seasonal or chronic. And living in an area where winter means shorter days, cold temperatures and gray skies can compound these feelings for those affected by SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder).

The use of antidepressants has soared: according to a NCHS survey conducted from 2011 to 2014,13% of Americans over the age of 12 have recently taken or are taking antidepressants. The CDC reports antidepressants as the most used prescription drug among adults aged 20-59.

The body naturally produces hundreds of neurochemicals, of which only a small fraction has been identified. Dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins are four that are considered responsible for happiness, but there are others that certainly play an important role as well.  No doubt GABA – dubbed the anti-anxiety molecule; endocannabinoids – the “bliss” molecule; and adrenaline – the energy molecule – also impact our sense of well-being. Interestingly, most today’s antidepressants focus primarily on just one of these:  serotonin.

BUT THERE IS A BETTER WAY!

There are several habits you can practice helping protect your brain:

  • eat healthy
  • get plenty of sleep
  • exercise
  • laugh and cry
  • reduce stress
  • stimulate your brain
  • limit media consumption
  • stay social – get out around people
  • volunteer
  • practice gratitude
  • don’t binge on food or alcohol
  • get plenty of sunlight and fresh air
  • give and get hugs

Important molecules best found in fresh whole foods like amino acids, essential fatty acids, magnesium, B vitamins, iron, and (vitamin) D are a handful of better-known nutrients that are believed to contribute to emotional and mental health.

BIOSUPERFOOD COMES TO THE RESCUE

Psychoactive substances are those which can either stimulate or depress the central nervous system, affecting both mental function and emotional state. BIOSUPERFOOD is an extraordinary whole food, rich in all vitamins, minerals, EFAs, amino acids as well as hard-to-find phytocompounds such as phytosterols, PUFAs, phenylethylamine, carotenoids, polysaccharides, and other compounds with psychoactive benefits.

You could try to take dozens and more of these nutrients in the form of individual supplements, but they would not be received and utilized as nature intended, with all necessary cofactors in perfect balance and synergy such as you find in natural whole foods. The little green BIOSUPERFOOD capsules – likely the most complete whole food on the planet – contain ALL of these nutrients plus thousands more that play a role in our whole health and well-being.

BIOSUPERFOOD is a concentrated, efficient, and comprehensive revitalizer that feeds the body energetically on a cellular level, thereby enhancing the nutrient value of your daily diet. The rare pigments in BIOSUPERFOOD are capable of crossing the blood-brain-barrier, carrying important nutrients to the master gland – the hypothalamus – thus nourishing and stimulating the brain, nervous system, and glandular network – Awakening the Genius Within, while simultaneously cleansing and eliminating toxins, contributing to cellular vitality and improving the body’s ability to deal with stressors of all types.

During the development of the bio-algae concentrate formulas, extensive research and clinical trials were conducted on a giant poultry farm.  Not only was the Marek disease (poultry cancer) eradicated on the farm due to BIOSUPERFOOD (known as BAC during research), but countless other remarkable improvements were achieved in the animals as well as in the eggs and meat they produced.  Among these benefits, the stress level was substantially reduced among the birds. This was, in part, attributed to the increased ability to synthesize the hormone (vitamin) D despite minimal exposure to any natural light – but was also related to the return to biochemical balance.

Here are just a few excerpts from some real BIOSUPERFOOD users’ testimonials:

  • “Better mental clarity & focus”
  • “Brain fog lifted”
  • “Better able to cope with stress”
  • “My depression has lifted”
  • “Improved memory recall”
  • (Re: Autistic child) “Improved motor skills and socialization”
